THE SOLUTION
Whether you are facing soil, drainage or concrete problems for the first time or you are a professional dealing with structural failure and concrete repair issues on a daily basis, we are the foundation repair specialists.
Foundation repair is not pretty nor is it cheap. We must dig into the unknown - an underground world of dirt, mud and trouble. Foundation Repair Solutions can cost as low as $ 10,000 and go as high as $ 250,000 for a residential home.
Before you spend a dime, you must research the cause of the structural failure as well as the condition of the building and surrounding soils in order to find an effective solution. In order to do this you need a Foundation Repair Specialist along with a Geo Technical and Structural Engineer to analyze and come up with the best solution for the foundation failure.
A failing foundation is a structural issue that requires a permit from your municipality or Authority Having Jurisdiction in order for you to make repairs. The municipality will require reports from a structural engineer and a geotechnical engineer before issuing permits. This is Law in the Province of British Columbia. If these requirements are not met the job will be stopped and there can be heavy fines levied before the job can proceed.
The engineers will require elevation measurements and surveys from Mainland Concrete Lifters Inc. in order for them to make informed decisions. Once the engineers have completed their inspection and reports for repair, a proper and accurate assessment of damage, scope of repairs and budget can be done by Mainland Concrete Lifters in order for you to obtain financial assistance if required.
Your first step is to call in a Geo Technical Engineer to assess your soil conditions; then call in a Structural Engineer to assess your structure damage; and then call in Mainland Concrete Lifters Inc. to provide a complete turn key assessment of damage in conjunction with both engineers to find a repair solution. All of these professional services will have a fee attached to them.
If you need assistance in locating these engineers, please call our office.
It doesn't have to be drawn out or complicated. For example take this front porch that had sunk and pulled away from the house several inches allowing the roof overhead to sag. This is an example of what 2 helical piers accomplished at an economical price.
