SERVICES
MAINLAND CONCRETE LIFTERS INC. (MCL Group) is a specialty firm that works in conjunction with the Engineering Industry to provide foundation repair solutions for the homeowner and/or building owner. We are Foundation Repair Specialists.
MCL provides solutions for sinking and deteriorating foundations in the form of
- Stabilizing sinking foundations using the patented Ram Jack Piering System
- Strengthening new construction foundations by using the patented Ram Jack Pre Construction Pier System
- Foundation leak repair
- Foundation wall repair using Carbon Fiber/Kevlar staples and Grid Straps
- Repair or Replace foundation wall waterproofing using a Membrane Wall System in the affected areas
- Repair or Replace failed perimeter drainage systems in affected areas
- Foundation Wall and/or Footing Replacement in affected areas
Our primary function is to address failing foundations whether they are sinking, cracking or leaking using the following repair solutions.
STABILIZATION
PUSH PIERS
We install push piers under the foundation walls in order to stop further settlement or movement.
We use the patented steel Ram Jack piering products. These are hydraulically driven to stabilize failing homes and structures. This repair system consists of sections of thermo-plastic coated steel pipe that is environmentally safe. The piers are point bearing, attached to the footing under the foundation, and driven with Twin Hydraulic Rams through unstable soils to load bearing strata. Each pier is then individually load tested, and the structure is stabilized with a patented uniform system to insure maximum practical recovery.

HELICAL PIERS

UNDERPINNING
When piering is not practical, due to terrain or bearing strata conditions, we can bench a new foundation wall that is installed by digging down away from the external wall. Depending on the depth, the created ledge will extend under the footing and foundation wall creating small benches just around the footing.

FOOTING/FOUNDATION REPLACEMENT
Sometimes the footing and the wall has advanced deterioration which makes any remedial repair work not cost effective and replacing that portion of the wall the only option. This can be accomplished for a reasonable cost in a timely fashion however it may involve interior supporting of the floor joists. Consequently there will be interior remedial repairs required.

Since we do both Commercial and Residential work, the products we use can be custom designed to any situation. Any of the above procedures involve the structure of the building which will require Building Permits from the Municipality or "Authority having Jurisdiction" in order to make the repairs.
When we are repairing a structural component of a building we work closely with local Engineers, and we have engineering services available for evaluations, reports, drawings and diagrams, inspections, and final inspection letters that the municipality will require. Our own consulting department will provide the structural engineer with elevation measurements, and suggested pier placement positions as well as complete test holes for the Geotechnical Engineer at a nominal fee.
CRACK REPAIR
Our secondary service is crack repair which uses CARBON FIBER REINFORCEMENTS, FOUNDATION WALL & LEAK REPAIRS OR POLYURETHANE INJECTIONS on an individual or combined basis.
Carbon Fiber Reinforcements
Used to reinforce cracked or bowing walls, Carbon Fiber/Kevlar makes foundations and walls three times stronger. They do not rust, mildew, stretch, or move over time.
Foundation Leak Repair & Polyurethane Injections
Polyurethane injection is performed from the inside of the structure. There are no health concerns with this material as it is non-toxic and odorless.
The injection process is affected through the use of a high-pressure pump machine. This machine ensures 100% penetration of the polyurethane, filling the crack completely, from inside to outside, preventing water leakage.

In addition we provide turn key services for our clients who require remedial work after a foundation repair solution has been performed. This includes Drainage Repairs, Foundation Waterproofing Repairs, Hard Surface Repairs, Soft Surface Repairs, and Remedial Repairs.
Perimeter Drainage
Perimeter drainage is typically a 4-inch perforated plastic pipe either Big O or PCV which runs around the perimeter (either inside or outside or both) of a foundation wall (before backfill) that collects and diverts ground water away from the foundation.

Foundation Waterproofing
Foundation waterproofing is applied to the exterior side of a foundation which forms a barrier that stops water from entering into the interior of a basement. Foundation waterproofing MUST be able to stop water under hydrostatic pressure and span cracks in a foundation.

Hard Surfaces
Hard surfaces such as driveways, walkways, patios, stone walks can all be restored to their original condition after foundation repair solutions have been completed.

Soft Surfaces
Soft surfaces such as landscaping can be restored to their original condition after foundation repair solutions have been completed.

Exterior Remedial Repairs
Exterior remedial repairs such as deck replacement, porch replacement, fencing, retaining walls, railings, stairs, can all be restored to their original condition after foundation repair solutions have been completed.

Interior Remedial Repairs
Interior remedial repairs such as insulation, framing, drywall, painting, flooring, trim, windows, can all be restored to their original condition after foundation repair solutions have been completed.
